Products: Specialty Perforating – PERFormaX Family

National Bundle Breaker Rule

National Bundle Breaker Rule is a family of five special perforating products. These products were designed and tested to be utilized where multiple out box designs are butted together as a unit on the cutting die. As the multi out blank exits the cutting section, it is piled into stacks commonly referred to as “bundles”. These bundles are shuttled to a mechanical clamp and by hinging the stack, the bundles are separated. This process increases die cutter yield, while enabling box makers to deliver individual boxes to their customers.

Bundle Breaker Rules are a versatile team of products. The goal is to provide incremental degrees of holding power, while achieving an acceptable edge finish across a wide range of single wall corrugated materials. Understanding that paper thickness, flute direction and converting variables all play a roll in success; National has pared down the product line to its most simple form. This allows the user to minimize inventory while taking a scientific approach to bundle breaking. Though not intended, these products can also be used in some situations as tear out rule where a light, easy tear is needed without a great deal of holding strength.

The unique “house shaped” tooth design and tooth height consistency, provide a stability and strength of tooth that easily withstands the stresses of both rule insertion and diecutting. The look and feel of torn PERFormaX perfs, are superior to those created by conventional SRP/RRP perfs.

Shelf Ready/Retail Ready (SRP/RRP)

Shelf Ready/Retail Ready (SRP/RRP) products from National Steel Rule are targeted toward box designs that need to double as both a shipper and a display dispenser. These box styles have easy opening features and tear out panels that provide consumer easy access to the product inside. An example would be a shipping container that was designed to become a bin style dispenser simply by ripping part of the box away at the retail location. The objective is to incorporate a specialty perforated rule that will be strong enough to survive the logistics from box maker to retailer, but to also be easy to transform by the stocking clerk and ultimately result in a neat and tidy presentation to the consumer.

PERFormaX patterns are also available on wheels for Esko/Kongsberg tables and/or on hand held devices
